Referee application is now open for ESF26. Complete the form below to apply to join our fantastic team of tournament Referees.

Note: Referees must be at least 16 years of age and must be registered with their County FA for 2025/2026.

Attending with participating team

Independent Referees

If you are an independent referee (not attending with a participating team) we will book accommodation for you, if you select Package 2 or 3 below. Referees are accommodated free of charge with Package 2 or 3, but must share accommodation units with other referees. You can list referees you are happy to share accommodation with further down the form. Referees can attend with family/friends, but they must pay for their accommodation. The rates are based on the ‘Comfort Room’ price for each venue/dates (‘Saver Caravan’ for Haven Ayr), which can be viewed along with Butlin’s Half Board dining prices at the links below:

Independent Referees Accommodation

Referees who select Package 2 or 3 are required to share accommodation with other referees at Butlin’s/Haven. Single rooms are not available. Therefore, we can only accept applications from referees in groups of 2 or more, who are able to share accommodation, if you select Package 2 or 3. Please list the referees you are able to share accommodation with below.

Referee Packages

Referees can select Package 1, 2 or 3 below. If you select Package 2 or 3, you must select the same package as the referees you are sharing accommodation with.

Further Information

Referees must be available to officiate for the complete duration of the festival. If you application is accepted, you must then clear the dates with your County FA, local Leagues and Referee’s Association.

Referees are normally scheduled up to six shortened 9-a-side matches, or up to eight shortened Mini-Soccer games each day.

Referees who select Package 2 or 3 will be allocated the Standard Room grade of accommodation or above at Butlin’s. If you would like to request a higher grade of accommodation and pay the difference, please detail this in the Special Requests box below.

Referees are invited to attend the ESF celebrity presentation ceremony, which will take place on the Sunday to close the festival. Referees receive an ESF26 medal as a memento of ESF26.

Special Requests

Please list special requirements below. For example, you would like the same kick-off times and venue as another referee so you can share transport. We will try to meet requirements, but cannot guarantee to do so.
